Dr. Philip E. Koch
Dr. Philip E. Koch was raised in Avondale Estates and Dalton, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree at Auburn University. Dr. Koch received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He also received his three-year postdoctoral Residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.
Dr. Koch has practiced exclusively in Gainesville, Georgia since 1977. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery focuses on the treatment of diseases, injuries and defects of the upper and lower jaws and associated structures. The main focus of our practice is on the removal of impacted third molars (wisdom teeth), difficult extractions, placement of dental implants, bone and soft tissue grafting, apicoectomies (surgical root canal treatment), biopsies, and reconstructive surgery of the jaw.
